Cheryl Nacewicz: Administrative Assistant  

Cheryl has been a part of Church in the Acres for over 40 years. She came to the church with her family when she was in the second grade. She filled the role of secretary while Rev. Gage Hotaling was pastor before taking time off to raise a family. After her children were grown she returned to the full-time position of administrative assistant in 1999. As administrative assistant Cheryl runs the church office, manages the church calendar, works with the many community groups using our facilities, is responsible for the editing and printing of all church publications and much more. In addition to her position of administrative assistant Cheryl enjoys participating in the choir, hand bell choir, and helping with the gardening around the church.

 
Cathy Berry: Music Director

As Director of Music at Church in the Acres, Cathy directs the adult choir, leads the musical portion of Celebration I on organ and piano, coordinates the music program in cooperation with the pastor and the handbell choir director. Cathy recently retired from years of working as a middle school music teacher and choral director. She lives in Westfield and enjoys spending time with her grown children and grandchildren, gardening, singing, the beach, and the symphony.

 
Jeff Tisdel: Handbell Choir Director

Jeff directs and leads our handbell choir in Celebration I and other times of celebration in the life of the church. Jeff has been a part of Church in the Acres since the 1970’s. He lives in East Longmeadow with his wife, Beverly and their two grown daughters. Jeff is an accomplished classical guitarist and enjoys playing and singing at local clubs and fundraising venues. He is employed at Mass Mutual.

 
Joanne Case, Weekend Custodian

Joanne is a charter member of the Church in the Acres Church School. She is a long-time member of our Women’s Ministry Circle. She lives in Springfield and is employed by J.C. Penney. Joanne enjoys traveling, the beach, her nieces and nephews, and several types of crafting.

     
Ruth Butler: Weekend Custodian

Ruth is a charter member of the Church in the Acres Church School. She is a long-time member of our Women’s Ministry Circle. She lives in Springfield and is employed by J.C. Penney. Ruth enjoys traveling, the beach, spending time with local family and keeping in touch with out of state family members, collecting and decorating.
