Joanne served the church for many years as the weekend custodian, but with the retirement of Cheryl Nacewicz, Joanne took over the essential position of Administrative Assistant. As administrative assistant, Joanne runs the church office, manages the church calendar, works with the many community groups using our facilities, is responsible for the editing and printing of all church publications and much more.
As Director of Music at Church in the Acres, Cathy directs the adult choir, leads the musical portion of Celebration I on organ and piano, coordinates the music program in cooperation with the pastor and the handbell choir director. Cathy recently retired from years of working as a middle school music teacher and choral director. She lives in Westfield and enjoys spending time with her grown children and grandchildren, gardening, singing, the beach, and the symphony.
Director of Contemporary Worship
Mike has been serving in various aspects of contemporary worship at CIA since 2004. As a musician, he has been playing various instruments since the 5th grade, including but not limited to brass, flute, guitar, bass and drums/percussion. Basically, if it makes noise, Mike will figure out a way to make it sound like music. As director of contemporary worship since 2011, Mike has been responsible for the musical and overall technical direction of the contemporary service, worship team development, and management of community outreach from the contemporary worship perspective. He has also been involved in college ministry by bringing contemporary worship to the local college scene. Like any other ministry engagement, it is both a calling and a passion, and has become one of the key pieces that define who Mike is.
